Hero’s in the snow
The doctor that gets to his patient in time, the lady that delivers the hot meal to Gladis who’s home bound, the surgeon that gets to the operating theatre in time, the mid wife that delivers the baby……………These are the real heros in the snow, not the sales executive that risks his live and others to join his colleagues to meet with their sales director for their monthly sales meeting.
Winter Wonderland
It never fails to amaze me that some people are so wrapped up in their coporate roles (note I did not say jobs here, subtle difference) that they just follow the masses like sheep and all common sense goes out of the window.
Now, I know that there are plently of jobs where the person(s) just have to be present to carry out their duties, however, equally there are plenty of jobs that are easily done from the comfort of your own home, sat in front of a blazing fire with a cup of tea next to you. Actually that’s exactly what I’m doing now (and I’m being very productive). Think about it.
